> [!Abstract] TL;DR
> View From Elsewhere was my way of creating a dedicated space to share open windows on 2D and 3D universes of video games I explore.

> v2.1 closes the loop on everything started in v2.0. The gallery now delivers all images from a CDN: faster loads, cleaner display in both grid and fullscreen, with no compromise on visual quality. The content model has been rebuilt from the ground up: a better pipeline from source image to live gallery, and a new architecture for albums, series, and curation. Most of it isn’t exposed yet; v2.2 will be a UI pass across the board.

> Static but more dynamic: easier to maintain, fewer dependencies, faster loading, full keyboard navigation.
### *What Is Virtual Photography*
'Virtual photography' is a niche at the intersection of gaming and photography. While it is often dominated with character portrait shoots—such as those of Sony video game heroines—it also embraces more interesting directions and strangely fun ways to engage with a game.
The images were captured using various methods: in-game photo modes, tools from platforms like Steam or Nvidia, and community or open-source software such as automatic screenshotters. Each shot was then edited in tools like Lightroom or Photoshop and curated into series or albums, much like traditional photography.

# **Building VFE *OG***
The project was relatively short but complete: I defined a concise graphic charter, designed mockups and prototypes in Figma, then built the site from scratch in :my/html5: HTML, :my/css: CSS, and :my/javascript: JS.
